We are part of the Yorkshire Aikikai, member of the British Aikido Federation, and practice with Sensei Ken Marsden, Shihan, 7th dan.
In Leeds, we have an Aikido & Special weapons class
Sensei Marsden has a wealth of weapons experience, knowledge and understanding; having trained with multiple Japanese, Professional Senseis.
He has experience in Aiki Ken, Aiki Jo, Kashima Shin Ryu and Katori Shin Ryu schools. He is very interested in making his weapons practice align with his Aikido practice. As such, Saturday practice focuses on in depth study of how to use the body. This provides an invaluable insight into how to use the body within traditional Aikido practice, in order to make it an effective martial art.
